My goal as a Yoga teacher, is to make each student feel steady, assured and empower them beyond their physical strength into mental steadiness, emotional peace and energetic power. Each class is a celebration. Anything is possible in Yoga and in life, this I believe!
Some people find peace in vices, material things, or even other people. I find peace on my yoga mat. When I practice yoga, it is my opportunity to quiet my mind. For a moment I am able to step away from judgment and labels freeing myself from anything that separates me from my inner self. I walk away from my practice feeling whole, satisfied, and full. I don’t believe that any other person can give you that. It is something that comes from within.
I have been teaching yoga for over ten years. My teacher training for power yoga is from Baron Baptiste Level 1 institute in Sedona, AZ. I hold both 200 and 500 hour RYS certification and have continued my education with 800 hours with the Holistic Yoga Therapy Institute. In 2016, I traveled to Rishikesh, India for a Hatha yoga meditation retreat. I have also traveled to Miami to learn and master the art of assisting at Baptiste Institute. . I have learned much about yoga in the West, so it was only right to get an Eastern approach, so I traveled to India and studied with Sampoorna Yoga and completed 500 hour RYS.
Each day I aspire to be well-rounded and knowledgeable in my practice, My mission to my students is to transform, heal, love and to serve. I promote self-discovery and try to discourage students from comparing themselves to one another. Yoga is a personal practice. I constant intention is to help students envision their own limitless possibilities in body, soul, mind and spirit.
